“I was actually fired as a manager for renting out a room to one of the other employees.” This rule of management not being allowed to associate with rank and file employees has always bothered me.
This episode was recorded with my Uber driver whose name also happens to be Casey. His Bad Boss not only fired him for being friends with employees, he also kept a notebook in his back pocket to keep track of all the things the employees did wrong. He had a reputation for always watching with the intent to find somebody doing something wrong all the time. Not creepy or intimidating at all.
